Kirkgate House, Thirsk

Geoffrey and Julie offer you a warm welcome to Kirkgate House Hotel.

Our six delightful rooms are very spacious, light, and airy. They are all ensuite and come with central heating, tea and coffee making facilities and color TVs. We can accommodate parties of up to 12 in comfort. We have a family room available that will sleep up to four. Our prices include a delicious full English breakfast (vegetarian options available) and we can provide packed lunches on request. We use locally sourced produce and purchase organic produce when in season and our cleaning materials are all environmentally friendly. We supply an iron and ironing board, hot water bottles and hair dryers. We can provide newspapers on request at cost. Especially for walkers and ramblers we are pleased to offer free laundry and drying facilities. Join us all year round, and make the most of our bargain breaks at certain times. Private parking is available.

We are ideally located in Thirsk for access to the North Yorkshire Moors, the Dales, and the nearby towns of York, Ripon and Harrogate, and the famous York Races. Thirsk is a handy stop-off point on your route north or south whilst traveling both the A1 or A19. It is a pretty market town with much original architecture, side alleys and inviting shops, making it the perfect place to wander. Our charming Georgian townhouse, built in 1810, is right in the center of Thirsk, very close to the James Herriot Museum. Slightly further afield is the city of York, or grab some fish and chips in Whitby. Guests are guaranteed a friendly welcome, with warm and professional service.
